Crash

Crash

Crash is about different people who occasionally meet during 24 hours. There are 8-10 different characters and they are all racist in one or another way. And all of the characters will be offended of their skin type, religion, and appearance or clothing style. The movie tells us how a day could look like for some people and see how wrong we can be. The characters in the movie aren’t very different. They think of them selves and the one they care about and some of them make the wrong decisions. For example the character Anthony, he is a thief and he steals cars because he thinks that busses are for the ones who cant afford a car or who doesn’t fit in to the society. So he and his friend stole a car in a “white territory” just to get away of racism. Another example is Jean Cabot who was married to Richard and their car was stolen by Anthony and his friend. When she comes home they decided to change the lock on there backdoor. The locksmith was mulatto and had what Jean said “prison tattoos”. She got very scared and yells that she wants to change locks again because she thinks that the locksmith is going to sell the key to a gang member. She is wrong and the locksmith is harmless. These two examples are very good they show how racism can be born and how wrong it is. There is a man in the movie who says the phrase “Why must they be black!? All criminals must be black” I like that sentence and I understand what he means and it is a very interesting question. I think that many black skinned people get pushed around in the society and the must do crimes to survive because maybe the community doesn’t want to help or they wont get any job.
